How to sign up and start selling on Deliveroo

Are you a restaurant owner or food entrepreneur looking to expand your reach and boost your sales? Partnering with Deliveroo could be the perfect solution to bring your delicious offerings to a wider audience. In this article, we'll guide you through the step-by-step process of joining Deliveroo as a partner, from making initial contact to setting up your menu and starting to sell. Whether you're new to food delivery platforms or looking to switch, this comprehensive guide will help you navigate the journey with ease.

Setting up your account to start selling on Deliveroo is easy. If you own a restaurant business or are looking to sell grocery items on Deliveroo, you can head over to our restaurant or grocery sign up pages and click ‘Become a Partner’. This will allow you to create your Deliveroo account and continue setting up your business.

You can type in your restaurant or shop name and use our search function to look for your business information. Alternatively, you can enter your details manually.

You’ll also need to create your account by adding your preferred email address and choose a password. Please make sure to use your business email address if you have one. You can use these credentials to access Partner Hub, our platform that lets you manage your business from anywhere.

What information do I need to get started on Deliveroo?

During the sign up process, you entered your email and created a password. 

In Hub, you can create your menu, set your opening hours, add and update your bank details, as well as sign your Deliveroo contract. You’ll now need to share a few details about your business in Hub, for example:

Information about you and youe business (e.g. your name, your business name, location, and phone number)

How will you deliver? (e.g. use Deliveroo riders or your own riders)

How many site locations would you like to onboard on Deliveroo?

Your tax information (e.g. VAT number, registered company name)

For restaurants, you’ll also need to share your FSA rating

To complete your Deliveroo onboarding and start taking orders, you'll be required to take the following steps:

Upload your menu and alcohol premises license (if relevant)

Review and accept your agreement, including verifying the address where we can send your tablet, selecting your preferred photoshoot package, and reviewing your set commission rate(s).

Once you’ve completed these steps, you can start taking orders!

What equipment do I need to receive orders? 

When you sign up for Deliveroo, we will provide you with the Deliveroo tablet, which you’ll be able to use to accept orders. We’ll arrange for a tablet to be delivered to you free of charge, and provide you with a set-up guide for instructions on how you can assemble it and activate it.

Our tablets also come with an integrated printer to print your order receipts, all in one device.

If you haven’t opted in for our tablet, you can choose from one of the options below:

 Download our Order Picker app on your own device

 In order to start taking orders, you will need to use our Deliveroo Order Picker app. This is an app that you’ll need to download on your own compatible device and use to pack your orders. You can install Order Picker on any Android device updated to at least Android 8 or later versions. 

When you sign up on Deliveroo, you’ll be able to create log in accounts for your staff and anyone who will be in charge of picking orders. They’ll then be able to start using the Order Picker. 

Download the Order Picker app on one of our iMin devices

If you choose this option, we’ll provide you with our iMin device. This tablet is tailored to provide your staff with a seamless experience, from accepting orders to picking items. iMin will automatically update our Order Picker app to the latest version on your behalf, and only when the app is not running, ensuring your app is always up to date. When you request this option, we will also send you our iMin installation guide to help you get set up.

Once your agreement has been signed, your menu has been created and you’ve set up your tablet with the Order Picker app, you are ready to start taking orders.  Make sure your device is connected to the Wi-Fi, and toggle ‘Open for orders’ to open your business. You should now be able to start taking orders!

How do I log in to Partner Hub to manage my store on Deliveroo?

During the onboarding process, a Partner Hub account will be created for you. You can log in using the credentials you’ve created. If you forget your password, you can reset it at any time 

Once you’re logged in, you’ll be able to create accounts for the rest of your team, set up permissions and roles and get new members to join with their own credentials.
