General Information

Deliveroo is on a mission to transform the way millions of customers order food, buy groceries and shop online. Our three-sided marketplace consists of 135,000 riders, thousands of customers ordering food, grocery and shopping on Deliveroo every day, and an unmatched selection of over 181,000 brands delivering globally.

With over 10 years of experience, we have optimised our technology to help you deliver convenience to your customers. Our platform and equipment let you manage every aspect of your delivery business, from managing your day-to-day operation to getting your menu in front of customers ready to discover great brands.

We offer quick, on-demand delivery to restaurant, grocery and retail businesses. Whether you own an independent restaurant or a franchise, run a local store or manage a grocery business, Deliveroo can help you deliver orders to your neighbourhood and unlock a new revenue stream.

Check out our policy for more details on the items you can sell on Deliveroo.

When you sign up to partner with Deliveroo, customers will be able to place an order from your business through the Deliveroo app or website. Once you accept an order, your staff will prepare the order to be picked up by one of the nearest Deliveroo riders nearby. When your order is ready, our riders will deliver it to your customer’s front door. If you opt for our Marketplace+ solution, your own riders will fulfil deliveries.

You can check if Deliveroo is available in your area by starting our self-sign up process. If our services aren’t available in your area yet, we will make sure to notify you when we reach your area.

With over 10 years of experience in the industry, we're experts in connecting great food with hungry customers. As the original food delivery company we offer world-class technology, logistics and expertise, and access to a global network of trained delivery riders.

Partnering with Deliveroo will help you expand your reach and grow your sales by putting your business in front of thousands of loyal, exclusive customers who order through the Deliveroo app or website.

Deliveroo is uniquely placed to be your delivery partner of choice. Our customers are loyal and high value, in fact 73% of our customers order exclusively on our app each month (Source: HDI February 2024).

We also attract more customers that are new to do delivery. Each month, the number of customers new to delivery grows 2-3% faster than other aggregators (Source: HDI February 2024). Deliveroo customers are high value, and spend at least £3 more per order on average (Source: HDI February 2024).

Getting started

If you own a restaurant business or a grocery store and wish to join Deliveroo, you can quickly create an account and join Deliveroo by following the sign-up process.

If you own a retail business or would like to sell your products, you can sign up by filling in the form on our dedicated retail section. Our team will get in touch with you to help you get started on our platform.

If you’re interested in offering delivery through your own website or app, you can visit our Signature API dedicated section and fill in the form to be contacted by our sales team.

For delivery-only kitchens, you can register your interest by visiting the Editions page and enquire using the dedicated form.

In order to sell your food on Deliveroo, we need you to make sure that your restaurant has a minimum standard of food hygiene.

That’s why we ask you to provide proof that you hold a Food Standards Agency (FSA)  rating of at least 2 to be listed on Deliveroo.  The Food Hygiene Rating Scheme is operated by local authorities with the Food Standards Agency (FSA). It gives customers information about restaurant hygiene standards.

You can read Deliveroo's full food hygiene rating policy here.

We reserve the right to put your application on hold until you can obtain proof of your food hygiene standards.

You should obtain your FSA rating from the FSA website and share it when you sign up to join Deliveroo.

If you are onboarding using Partner Hub:

  • Go to https://ratings.food.gov.uk/
  • Enter your restaurant name and address in the search box
  • Click on the FSA rating for your specific premises
  • Share the numbers, highlighted in the image below from the website link

If you are onboarding via email

  1. Go to https://ratings.food.gov.uk/
  2. Enter your restaurant name and address in the search box
  3. Click on the FSA rating for your specific premises
  4. Copy the website link and email the link to uk.menus@deliveroo.co.uk

Yes.  If you have applied for an FSA inspection but your business isn’t showing as ‘Awaiting Inspection’ on the FSA website, you can still start the onboarding process to join Deliveroo. Our teams will ask you to supply evidence that you have started the process to register as a food business.

We hold our Partners to high Food Hygiene standards. We will be monitoring partners’s inspection status and reserve the right to put your application on hold until you can obtain proof of your food hygiene standards.

We can have you up and running in as little as 7 days.

To complete your onboarding, follow the steps highlighted in Partner Hub. These include; adding your menu, setting your opening hours, adding your bank details, choosing a photography package, and accepting your agreement.

Once these steps are complete, we will handle the last steps including creating your menu and sending you your tablet to install and open for orders.

Depending on your business type, you’ll need a device to receive and accept orders. For restaurant businesses, we’ll equip you with our  tablet device which comes with an integrated printer to print your order receipts. After a quick installation process, you’ll be able to open your restaurant on Deliveroo  and start accepting incoming orders.

Grocery and retail partners can opt in to receive Deliveroo’s order tablet. They will need to install the Deliveroo Order Picker app, either on a compatible device of their choice, or on our iMin tablet. If you opt in for a tablet, we’ll arrange for one to be delivered to you.

The Order Picker app lets you manage your store operations, accept orders, facilitate picking items by scanning each product’s barcode, and accurately pack your order for delivery.

Our payments and invoices relate to a 7 day period, from Monday to Sunday (midnight to midnight UTC) each week. Your invoice will be produced once the invoice period (Monday - Sunday) is complete. Our payment will be issued weekly every Thursday in the UK.

Delivery

We're all about quality so we have a set delivery radius that ensures your food is never in transit for longer than it needs to be. Customers located in your delivery radius will be able to place an order from your business.

Marketplace+ Partners that are delivering orders through their own riders will be able to set their own delivery radius.

You can choose to deliver with your own riders. When you sign up we offer different options for set up and delivery, so you can pick the right products for your business. Visit the Marketplace+ section for more information.

Signature API lets you build a custom online ordering experience. Customers order directly from your website or app and these appear on your Deliveroo tablet or POS. Your orders are delivered by Deliveroo’s rider network, just as they are when a customer orders using our app or website.

If you have an existing ordering experience, a Signature logistics-only solution is available, with the option to include customer service. Contact your account manager or get in touch using Partner Hub's 'Help' feature for API integration information.

Editions works on a simple single percentage commission, and you need to be an existing Deliveroo partner to join.

To find out more about the kinds of restaurants we're looking for, or to discuss pricing, visit Partner Hub Help or speak to your account manager.

The safety and well being of riders is our priority.  That’s why we are actively working with riders and unions to promote a positive relationship between riders and partners, and we support, celebrate and reward riders through our rider Perks platform and Rider Awards.

In September 2022, Deliveroo entered into a voluntary partnership with GMB Union and formally recognised them as our official Rider Trade Union,  ensuring our riders have access to collective bargaining rights on pay and consultation rights on other issues. This led to signing the Deliveroo x GMB respect charter in 2024.

We regularly survey our riders across our rider fleet. The majority of riders in London and across the UK tell us they are satisfied working with us, with 84% satisfaction ratings in the UK in March 2024.

Deliveroo is proud that riders are supported with best-in-class accident and injury insurance, ensuring that if they're injured while working with us they can feel safe in the knowledge that income support is available while they recover, as well as third party liability insurance. We also provide reflective kit for all riders, and run regular road safety campaigns.

Deliveroo riders can choose to deliver by bicycle, scooter, car or by electric vehicle. Behind the scenes, our tech works hard to offer each order to the rider who is best positioned to deliver it safely and efficiently.

At Deliveroo we want to offer the best possible delivery experience to our partners, riders and customers.

Riders are required to act professionally and take due care when providing delivery services. Our Community guidelines set out the behaviour we expect from riders when they are riding with Deliveroo.

If we are made aware of a rider acting in breach of their supplier agreement, we will investigate and take any appropriate action.

For Restaurants

When you join Deliveroo as a restaurant partner, customers will be able to find your restaurant, browse your menu and dishes and add them to their order. Once they place an order with your restaurant, your on-site staff will receive a notification on their Deliveroo tablet to start preparing the order. Once the order is accepted, a ticket will be printed with a list of dishes and items you need to start preparing for the order.

You’ll also receive an estimated pick-up time for when a rider will be arriving to collect the order. Make sure your food is packaged and ready for the rider for a smooth hand over and delivery.

If you have your own photos, or if you want to organise your own photo shoot, you can upload your photos using the Menu Manager in Restaurant Hub, or send them to us with the 'Get in touch form'.

Depending on your score for the month, you’ll be able to access exclusive benefits such as increased visibility across our app. If your score is low, however, there might be some limitations applied to your site. Read more about the Value Programme here.
